My teacher crush since FOREVER

PaOkay so this is a rather embarrassing post but I wanna share my teacher crush with all of you!!! I first saw him a week after school started and I was like omgggg he looks super hot wtf

And don't laugh at me please because he is definitely not what one would say is hot or good looking by average standards hahaha (yes my taste is rather unique)

As you can tell from the photo (btw good job blogger app on iPhone!!! No more messed up photo layout! I like this!) he is a chef! A patisserie chef to be exact. He always works in the chocolate room (yes we have a chocolate room and a chocolate tempering machine which I sometimes secretly stick my fingers under to lick the smooth chocolate mmmmm)

We had a couple of pastry production lessons and he's always working in that chocolate room so I got to see him quite a lot! And omg every time I see him I'll grab nancy and hyperventilate HAHAHHA he has those really deep eyes and he looks like such a bad child (;

So anyway I remember a month or two in I was very excitedly telling my roommate Jackie about him

Me: OMG so you know there is this chocolate chef which I had such a huge crush on, we finally talked today!!!
Jackie: What did you guys talk about??
Me: He was trying to walk past me and he said "excusez moi" to me!!
Jackie: LOL

It's a start anyway hahahah oh man thinking about it makes me wanna cry in laughter I was so silly :P

And now we mainly just exchange greetings! Every time he says bonjour I'll say hello and during that one time he said hello I'd say bonjour. We can never get it right! And I think he totally knows I have a crush on him seeing how I make no effort in hiding it lolol

Little things in life that makes it more exciting hahah

Anyway my friends are putting up play, go support them! It's called Couch Theatre and their first play is going to be held soon! Go Facebook to learn more, more art and culture will always do you good :)

Bonne weekend! xx

STARTING NOW LA

Sooo this post is because a certain Lee Cheryl started screaming at me to start blogging again because even though I insisted that I have no idea when to start and it does seem a tad too late to start

You know how when someone walks into the room and says hi, and 5 minutes later it's kinda too late to say hi because the moment is over? Yeah kinda like that

And to quote her she said ANYHOW START so here I am!

Over the weeks that you have not heard from me, I have been to Obersaxen, Milan, Florence, Livrono.. Yeah that pretty much covers it! Summer is FINALLY here and I have no excuse to not work out now!!! Even my uncle said I gained weight so that was pretty annoying.

So I was talking to one of my chinese classmate, and she was like, all the chinese girls (over here we call people from china chinese people, and i'm not chinese, i'm singaporean.. They get confused) gained weight. One of them even gained 10kg?!?! Wtf! That's crazy! But you can kinda tell some people ballooned.. And obviously there are people who are still terribly skinny which is rather annoying

So now I'm trying to shed off all the unwanted pounds!!! All the croissants and pain au chocolats (oh dear me I can eat one everyday) are starting to come back to me nowwwww :< And especially since I'm a flyer it's even more important to be strong yet light which argh! That will take me a while.

Anyway tonight (23rd June) apparently has the largest full moon in 2013.. I'm really excited to go up to the woods and go star gazing! There are millions and millions that stretch out for miles- makes a clear Singapore sky look like nothing!

Exams are in two weeks and I have oenology classes next week.. So much for trying to cut alcohol form my diet. Ahahaha #welcometoswitzerland I guess

Judgey

I've been so crazy busy these weeks, haven't had a proper break since Easter. Really looking forward to the next long holiday in a few weeks time, then there is Sports Day! (yes we still have that)

Spring is here and it has been amazing, more or less, we actually jump at the chance to sit and laze around in the sun, something totally unforeseen in singapore for sure. Not only that, academic classes are catching up and we actually have to start writing essays.. It's been really liberating doing academic writing once again. My thoughts used to be jumbled up and I will just write what I think but writing an essay definitely does not allow that..

Last night I ate at BDS for the first time and OMG the head waitress (student waitress- all freshmen have to do that) was SUCH A BITCH wtf. I was eating Bailey's coffee souffle and I told my friend, "Sorry man I'm not offering this to you because I know you don't like coffee." and she happened to be around, and said, "Oh yeah me too!"

I was kinda like wtf this is not your conversation but I just said, "Oh yeah you two have a lot in common huh!" guess what she said?? "Well yeah that's what smart people have in common"

And I swear to God I was just like

That night I ate myself into a food coma. We bought two bottles of wine and had champagne and cocktail on top of a 3 course dinner with appetisers and mignardises wtf I felt SO sick that night bleargh

I must have eaten enough to last myself a week

Easter in Paris!

I still can't believe how amazing Paris was. The 6 of us, 2.5 non koreans and 3.5 koreans went to Paris and crashed at Antoine's new apartment (lol he bought it a day before we went) for about 5 days! The apartment was really small, it's only a small kitchen and the living/bedroom (yes it is TINY) and costs nearly as much as a 3 room flat in Singapore. Paris truly has the most expensive housing prices!

And we got brought around to many places which are pretty local, instead of merely tourist destinations. Undeniably, Versailles and the Tour Eiffel are the must sees, these are AMAZING.

The pictures are grabs from Facebook, they are not in order (as usual, damn blogger)
At Notre Dame! I haven't watched the movie though hahah

Fondant au chocolat.. Of course in France you must eat the real deal :>

 Marc Jacobs coke hahaha

Dinner - cod! Doesn't taste like cod though hmmm but it's nice nonetheless:) A meal like this will cost about 20 euros! Makes food in Singapore look SUPER cheap (no srs. 5francs will get you a bowl of soup. And it's those small bowl that you get when you order dry wanton noodles.)

WHISTLER'S MOTHER OMGGGGG hahaha mr bean!!!!
Still looking as elegant as ever though

The Louvre at night. Isn't she a beauty?

Inside the Notre Dame. The cathedral is amazing, it supposedly has the best stained glass. There are confession rooms as well but.. I don't speak French hahah I would love to confess for once though, I wonder what I would say?

Hot chocolate outside the cafe, watching the world go by

The boys waiting for me while I shop at Zara. I waited for them while they shop too, they are MAJOR shopaholics!!! Look at the bags they have, those are all theirs! They went crazy at Colette, Kenzo, Paul Smith.. Who knew?

My dream bag!!!!! The Givenchy antigona!!!!! I nearly bought it hahahah omg it would have killed my budget though, but it was such a beauty and it's limited edition!!!! Cries

Walking down the most famous street in Paris, Champs-Elysees~

L'arc de Triomphe in glorious sunset

 Another amazing cathedral

This street artist is truly amazing. He stood on the podium thing and did crazy stunts with his soccer ball, apparently he's some sort of mini celebrity? He even scaled up the lamp post with amazing ease and started kicking the ball up!!! Wtf

Look what it is in the distance :D

Montmartre, Paris' artists residence, where famous painters used to stay (Dali/Monet/Picasso etc)
The artists that reside there do sketches and caricatures, and boy they are lined up one after the other, each one as talented as the last. I couldn't help commenting that I feel like a talentless bum hahaha

 THE REAL MOULIN ROUGE
Only my most favourite musical of all time argh!
The road there is crazy though there are SO many shops selling toys including a dildo with an Eiffel Tower base (so Parisian, lol)
The boys are surprised I've never stepped into a sex shop hahaha until now I still haven't! Sex is portrayed very explicitly here, I'm rather surprised, but I guess parents won't bring their kids here..

 EIFFEL TOWER OMFG IT'S BEAUTIFUL

Ni**gaz in Paris truly lol Josh is -.- at the back

At night! We didn't stay long enough to watch it sparkle, little lights will blink all over the Tower and it truly looks like glittery diamonds in the night sky.. Too bad we didn't see it in its full glory!:( (we saw it on the first night from the Louvre, farrrrr away)

Rented a boat at Versailles and rowed on the amazing river. It used to be the residence of King Louis XIV, and we even saw the house of Marie-Antoinette. The garden is mofo huge and it's symmetrical - that's the difference between French and English gardens.

 Such crazy good weather!

 "I'm on a BOAT!"

The second garden. It was so intricate and beautiful, it looks like it's unreal!

This is on the last day while waiting for the boys to finish shopping so we can leave.. They were so late I was actually considering leaving without them -.-

Horses on a field :) I wish I can learn to ride one!

Secret to acing an interview

So I just got interviewed via Skype with Ritz Carlton Singapore and I'm pretty sure I got the job. They seemed to really love me and even said "There is a really high chance you'll work in our F&B department" and "You will receive information really soon" :)

I never actually doubted my interviews, I have a rejection rate of perhaps 10% or less because before the interview, I (egoistical as it may sound but I assure you I do not intend to come across like this) know I would snag it, and will go into the interview confident.

So here are just some of the myths about interviews and facts that I wish to share, about myself (may not apply to everyone)

1. I don't prepare for the interview.

One thing I don't do is prepare standard interview questions. I never do that. I just answer as honestly as I can, whatever pops into my head, because I believe that people will be able to tell if it's coming straight from your heart or not.

No standard questions, nothing. Just me and my experience and I.

2. Smile! Upsell yourself! BUAY PAISEH!

They'll always ask you for your strengths and stuff.. Just be buay paiseh! Seriously! You're good and you know it and you HAVE to tell them, now or never. Anyway if you don't tell them you'll probably never see them ever again so it doesn't matter.

3. Make sure your Skype is working..

Mine is super crazy argh it makes me look like I'm high on mdma or some shit, blinking non stop because the camera is playing on loop. Skype, wtf is wrong with you???

4. RESEARCH ON THE COMPANY

This is completely different from preparing standard questions. Don't ask stupid questions like "is your hotel a chain or independent" like seriously it just shows how stupid you are hahah which completely contradicts part 2. Make sure you know what you're in for before you sell your soul to the devil.

5. Dress pretty.

Most companies want you as their face or walking ambassador so make sure you look good, at least the top half of your body hahaha take the time to choose an outfit!

Okay I gtg for class now I've slacked enough hahah hopefully that helped!

What school has been like

It has been nearly a month and a half since I last left Singapore, and sometimes when the weekend gets quiet it still feels very lonely. I've friends here who are partying like CRAZY I don't even know how they do it, it's funny watching them get thrashed/drunk texting though

On a side note, the fire brigade came up to the school yesterday. Maybe you're not yet sure of the implications of this.. If you smoke in your room and the alarm goes off, after 10pm, security will not be able to switch off the alarm. The fire brigade will come up to the school, and if it's a false alarm, a 1000CHF fine will be imposed on the person who will set off the alarm. Yes, welcome to Switzerland, the land of overpriced commodities.

I'm really glad I got back into the game and joined EHL Cheerleading, granted, I was not a very active member back in RGS but then again back then, I did not love dance the way I do now. The squad is also the main dance team of the school, and for tuesday, we'll be performing for EHL's Got Talent (I know I know, me in a talent show? I never thought it was possible either) and it is a very intense dance routine. Yesterday we had a 3h practice and my thighs have never screamed with such pain before, glorious glorious muscle aches >D

Sometimes the alone time on weekends do give me some silent reprieve from all the crazy going ons in school.

What's your Oreo personality?

Psychologists have discovered that the manner in which people eat Oreo cookies provides great insight into their personalities. Choose which method best describes your favorite method of eating Oreos:
  1. The whole thing all at once.
  2. One bite at a time.
  3. Slow and methodical nibbles examining the results of each bite afterwards.
  4. In little nibbles.
  5. Dunked in some liquid (milk, coffee…).
  6. Twisted apart, the inside, then the cookie.
  7. Twisted apart, the inside, and toss the cookie.
  8. Just the cookie, not the inside.
  9. I just like to lick them, not eat them.
  10. I don’t have a favorite way because I don’t like Oreos.
Your Personality:
  1. This means you consume life with abandon, you are fun to be with, exciting, carefree with some hint of recklessness. You are totally irresponsible. No one should trust you with his or her children.
  2. You are lucky to be one of the 5.4 billion other people who eat their Oreos this very same way. Just like them, you lack imagination, but that’s okay, not to worry, you’re normal.
  3. You follow the rules. You’re very tidy and orderly. You’re very meticulous in every detail with every thing you do to the point of being anal retentive and irritating to others. Stay out of the fast lane if you’re only going to go the speed limit.
  4. Your boss likes you because you get your work done quickly. You always have a million things to do and never enough time to do them. Mental breakdowns and suicides run in your family. Valium and Ritalin would do you good.
  5. Every one likes you because you are always up beat. You like to sugar coat unpleasant experiences and rationalize bad situations into good ones. You are in total denial about the shambles you call a life. You have a propensity towards narcotic addiction.
  6. You have a highly curious nature. You take pleasure in breaking things apart to find out how they work, though not always able to put them back together, so you destroy all the evidence of your activities. You deny your involvement when things go wrong. You are a compulsive liar and exhibit deviant, if not criminal, behavior.
  7. You are good at business and take risk that pay off. You take what you want and throw the rest away. You are greedy, selfish, mean, and lack feelings for others. You should be ashamed of yourself. But that’s ok, you don’t care, you got yours.
  8. You enjoy pain.
  9. Stay away from small furry animals and seek professional medical help - immediately.
  10. You probably come from a rich family, and like to wear nice things, and go to upscale restaurants. You are particular and fussy about the things you buy, own, and wear. Things have to be just right. You like to be pampered. You are prissy.
Oh LOL I enjoy pain?!?
